What to Wear Wednesday

So, maybe if I just don't give a long speech about how bad of a blogger I am, I won't jinx myself and ruin all of my fun ideas for 2010.   We'll see if a run-on sentence makes a difference. Ha ha.

First of all, this past holiday season was INSANE.  I am still not caught up and it feels like I will never leave this computer.  Ever.  I am so thankful for all of the new and remembered faces I have seen lately.  For those of you who speak sweet things about me and my work, please know that I am forever grateful for your support and the fine folks you have brought into my life.  Oh, and for making me feel like a chicken with it's head cut off.  No, really though, every frame I shoot fills my heart and every kind word you deliver brings me closer to a goal.  You are appreciated!

I cannot take credit for "What to Wear Wednesday".  I actually saw it on a blog a while back but recently decided I really wanted to do it.  I wish I could remember where I saw it so I could give credit where credit is due.  ;)   It only took about 2 hours which surprised me.  Basically everything I find will be from the same store/site, making it easier for you to shop.  Sometimes I may do something a bit more diverse, but for now, the easier the better.  :)

Okay, so here is the first fo hopefully many more to come.  It's all in grey, white and black. Thought I would start off super easy and do something I saw a ton of this season and something I would actually pick for my own family. Assuming I had the boys I want.  Sigh.  Everything is Old Navy, even the shoes.  It would also be fun to accessorize it up with your favorite color or a color from the decor in your home.  I would do yellow but some of you may already know that.   

I think the next one will be colorful. I'm starting to see a ton of teal so maybe I will go from there.  Let me know if you have any suggestions. 

Tomorrow, I will try to post the first half of a session I'm working on.  They were dressed pretty darn cute all in black.  There are ways to do it and not look like a steakhouse wait staff you know.

Just wanted to give a heads-up and let you know that I just recovered near 20 emails out of my spam folder! I've been getting a few emails on my blackberry which I have been able to return right away but neglected to check it on my actual computer. I will be working on returning all emails as soon as I return from shooting a wedding this evening so please be looking. Also, I know that spam folders clear out after a certain number of days so if I do not return your email by tomorrow afternoon then please contact me again.

new things

Ok, so first I apologize for not posting the actual wedding below. Not sure what happened there. It's ok though because I am creating a new blog specifically for wedding mayhem. I will post a link to the wedding blog as soon as it's all finished up.

I plan to launch the website once again by mid-October. Until then, everyone is welcome to take a peek at the new information brochure to the left. Things are a-changin' and I can't be happier with the amazing help I have aquired lately. Hailey will be returning calls and helping me out during sessions. Obviously someone I have needed for a very long time. Angie is my new marketing manager and I'm so excited to see what she can do.  

I would like to say thank you to everyone for being so patient with me during the recovery of my accident among the two different infections I aquired after the accident. I finally feel like I can go on.

I think this may be the most loved little girl on the planet. Hannah & Renie's connection is only something some can dream of capturing. These girls share a very rare bond. I'm so lucky to have them in my life.

motherhood

I wanted to post something because I felt guilty. It has been so crazy around here with weddings, bridals, birthdays and the HEAT. I seriously feel like I'm losing it after an hour. But I have really loved the people I've been shooting lately and have been inspired by a recent milestone that just hit me really hard.

I wanted to share some images of one of my closest friends and her sweet kids. For the last two years she has invited me to scout out new locations and  have a photo shoot for her husband for Father's Day. Since she just moved to Weatherford we decided to shoot in a place that means something to them and will look good on their new walls. I must say it's my new favorite location. Especially since the cultural district of Fort Worth is being torn down and made all modern. I've wanted to shoot here ever since we started looking for a house a few months ago. This was the first session of three here too. Will share more very soon!

Five came way too fast.

First, I want to let you all know that I am extremely busy and need more recoup time after sessions so there is absolutely no way I can blog right now. I have many new images that I just love but by the time I get them all resized and ready for the web, I just put them on myspace or facebook. Usually both. Please find me on either of these to view new work. It's just quicker for me.

I know, I know...

I've been bad. Several people have asked if I have a new secret blog or have asked why I'm not posting. I hhave just been extremely busy and as some of you know, have had some terrible technology issues. But, we have new internet, a new computer and as far as I know my phone is finally working properly with a new sim card.  I lost two sessions and a wedding (unedited and undelivered) when my computer crashed. Just lost and I feel like dying right now because of it. The Geek Squad tried their best to pull everything off of my fried hard drive but a lot didn't nake it. If anyone knows if anything can be done, please comment me. I still have the hard drive.
